Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information this website (seanrossiter.com) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is operated by Sean Rossiter, a California real estate salesperson (DRE #02105207) affiliated with Redfin Corporation (DRE #01521930).

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to send through a form on this site. Through a contact form:

• Your name
• Your email address, phone number, or both
• What you are interested in, such as buying, selling, a home value, or a new construction or ADU project
• A property address, if you request a home value
• Any message you write
• The page you sent the form from, so we know what you were looking at

If you subscribe to the monthly market email: your email address, your first and last name if you give them, and which page or video you came from.

We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or chat tools. We do not build profiles of visitors.

The site search runs in your browser. What you type into it is not sent to us or stored.

Like every website, our hosting provider automatically receives standard technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested. Amazon Web Services keeps these access logs (IP address, page, time, and browser) for security and to count visits. They are kept for a limited period.

How we use your information

• To reply to your inquiry and provide the real estate services you ask for
• To send the monthly market email, if you subscribed
• To keep records of client communications as required by law or brokerage policy
• To protect the site from spam and abuse

We do not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.

Who we share it with

• Service providers. Amazon Web Services hosts this site and delivers form submissions to Sean Rossiter by email. AWS processes this data only to provide those services.
• MailerLite. If you subscribe to the monthly market email, MailerLite keeps the subscriber list and sends the email. It stores your email address, your first and last name if you gave them, which page or video you came from, and the time and IP address of your signup, as a record of your consent. MailerLite records when you click a link in an email. It does not record whether you open an email. MailerLite processes this data only to provide the email service. Your signup is sent to MailerLite by our form service, so your browser never loads anything from MailerLite on this site.
• Redfin Corporation. If you become a client, your information may be shared with Sean Rossiter's brokerage as needed to provide services and meet brokerage recordkeeping requirements.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.

Tracking and Do Not Track

This site does not track your activity over time or across other websites, and it does not allow other companies to do so. In the monthly market email, clicks on links are recorded, as described above. Because there is no tracking, the site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are delivered by email and kept only as long as needed to respond to you, serve you as a client, and meet legal and brokerage recordkeeping requirements. The form service does not store your submission in a database. Its error logs are deleted automatically after 30 days.

Monthly market email subscriber data stays with MailerLite until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you unsubscribe, we stop sending you email.

Your choices

Every monthly market email has an unsubscribe link. To have your subscriber data deleted, email sean@seanrossiter.com.

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you sent us at any time. Contact sean@seanrossiter.com or 650-400-0686. We will respond within 45 days. If you no longer want to hear from us, tell us and we will stop. You can also reply STOP to any text message.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive details through the contact forms.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites, such as market data sources. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we will note it at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
